Wellbeing and Alternative Learning Service

Suitable for autistic young people aged 12 to 18 who struggle to attend school full time.

The service provides individualised support for young peoples mental health, wellbeing, alternative learning, life skills and core education subjects (english and maths).

Aspire runs during school term times:

  • Mondays - 12.30pm to 3pm
  • Tuesdays - 12.30pm to 3pm
  • Wednesdays - 12.30pm to 3pm
  • Thursdays - 12.30pm to 3pm
  • Fridays - 12.30pm to 2.30pm

The service offers activities such as short film production, animal therapy, arts and crafts, drama workshops, 3D printing, baking, self defence sessions as well as outings and an annual residential trip.

Young people have access to our activity room, sensory room, fitted kitchen and gaming chill out zone.

Open to those who live in West Lothian, Edinburgh, Falkirk and surrounding areas.

No formal diagnosis required.

English & Maths Small Group Tutoring

Suitable for neurodivergent young people aged 11 to 18 who would benefit from tutoring support for English and Maths.

Each group supports no more than 6 young people at a time and is suitable for those who attend school, flexi-school, home educate or are unable to attend any provision.

We have three groups available:

  • S1 to S3 English & Maths - Wednesdays 4pm to 5pm
  • National 5 Maths - Wednesdays 5pm to 6pm
  • National 5 & Higher English - Wesnesdays 6pm to 7pm

We include a welcome pack with all the supplies and equipment needed for our tutoring sessions free of charge.

Young people have access to our sensory room at any time during the session, if required.

Open to those who live in West Lothian, Edinburgh, Falkirk and surrounding areas.

No formal diagnosis required.

Our small group tutoring is £15 per session, refreshments included, and is paid monthly.

Home Ed Meet Up Group

Suitable for autistic young people aged 8 to 18 who are home educating, flexi-schooling, unschooling or not attending any provision.

The aim of the group is to provide a safe space for families and young people to meet up, make connections and have space to do activities of their choosing.

Please note: This group does not provide support staff and parents are expected to stay with their young people throughout the session.

Our Home Ed meet up groups run during school term times:

  • Tuesdays - 3.30pm to 5.30pm (ages 12 to 18)
  • Thursdays - 10am to 11.30am (ages 8 to 11)
  • Thursdays - 3.30pm to 5.30pm (ages 12 to 18)

Young people will have access to our activity room, sensory room, fitted kitchen and gaming chill out zone.

Open to those who live in West Lothian, Edinburgh, Falkirk and surrounding areas.

Our Home Ed group is £5 per session, refreshments included, and is paid monthly.

Autistic Led Youth Clubs

Suitable for autistic and neurodivegent young people aged 11 to 18.

We have three different youth clubs available:

  • Younger (ages 11 to 14) Thursdays 6.30pm to 8.30pm
  • Older (ages 15 to 18) Fridays 6.30pm to 8.30pm
  • Girls Group (ages 14 to 18) Tuesdays 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Our youth clubs provide young people an opportunity to meet likeminded peers and try new activities in a neurodivergent designed safe space.

Young people have access to our activity room, sensory room, fitted kitchen and gaming chill out zone.

Open to those who live in West Lothian, Edinburgh, Falkirk and surrounding areas.

No formal diagnosis required.

Our youth clubs are £6 per week, refreshments and snacks included, and are paid monthly.

LGBTQIA+ Group

Suitable for autistic and neurodivergent young people aged 12 to 18 who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community or questioning their gender or sexuality.

Our LGBTQIA+ group is held on

  • Fridays - 3.30pm to 5.30pm

The group aims to provide a neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ safe space, where young people will be embraced and empowered for who they are. It is an opportunity for young people to take part in activities and meet likeminded peers.

Young people have access to our activity room, sensory room, fitted kitchen and gaming chill out zone.

Open to those who live in West Lothian, Edinburgh, Falkirk and surrounding areas.

Our LGBTQIA+ group is £5 per week, refreshments included, and is paid monthly.
